About me
Hi, I'm Lillie Brody, LMHC-D, a licensed mental health counselor specializing in eating disorders, body image, trauma, anxiety, depression, and executive functioning challenges. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image concerns, chronic illness, and major life transitions.
My Approach
In my experience, these challenges rarely occur on their own. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of avoidance, perfectionism, self-criticism, or overwhelm. They may struggle with anxiety alongside an eating disorder, trauma alongside depression, or executive functioning difficulties that make everyday life feel exhausting. Rather than focusing on a single diagnosis, I work collaboratively to understand the whole person and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I integrate evidence-based practices with a relational lens, helping clients build insight, strengthen practical coping skills, improve executive functioning, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves. My work is rooted in a Health at Every Size® (HAES)-aligned, non-diet, trauma-informed, fat-positive, and anti-racist framework. I am committed to helping clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies while challenging weight stigma, diet culture, and the broader systems that shape mental health.
My Background
Before entering private practice, I served as a clinical team lead at a higher level of care (PHP/IOP) eating disorder program, where I developed extensive experience supporting individuals through complex recovery and the transition from structured treatment back into everyday life.
Whether you're seeking support for an eating disorder, trauma, anxiety, depression, or the ways these experiences intersect, I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to build lasting change.
